Like many small vendors, our ability to remain in business relies on conventions and renaissance fairs. With the current bans on public gathering, our income has been severely curtailed. We need your support now more than ever. If you were ever planning to purchase a crown, bracers, greaves, or gauntlets from us, now is the time. Please help us out. Not only on our online store, but we are also wide open for commissions at this time. Contact us at sinistermetalworks@gmail.com

Here at Sinister Metalworks, we specialize in lightweight steel fantasy armor and crowns.  Our products are made of 20 gauge cold rolled mild steel.  All products are treated on the outside with a Permalac lacquer, and on the inside with a rust-resistent paint, to prevent oxidization.  The lacquer is available in gloss and matte.  Our products are perfect for costume, theater, cosplay, renaissance fair, and larp.

Everything we make is hand hammered from sheet metal into shiny armor.  We strive to work full range of movement into every piece we make.  Our philosophy: you should be able to move in your armor every way you can move out of your armor.  And since the armorsmith studied martial arts, and has those weird double joint things, that's a pretty amazing range of motion.

Our coloration process brings your armor to vibrant life.  In color! Yes, color! (we really like color)  Our most popular colors include antigue silver, chrome blue, chrome black, purple, bronze, and gold. We also create many pieces using a treatment called Antique Black, for all those people who want flat black.  Because black is cool.

I really hate writing these things, so if you're still with me, thanx!  You can tell I'm not a copy writer, can't you?  Anyway, almost done with the basics.

In addition to many stock items we've designed ourselves, we also welcome custom orders!  Send us your image, and we'll work with you on the ultimate armor.  Caveat: most video game and comic art is not actually made for a real human body.  We reserve the right to alter designs for wearability.  There is just no way to make WoW shoulders that won't smack you in the forehead every time you wiggle your arms.
